Article II
Purpose and Objectives

The purpose and objectives of the Washington Chapter of the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep are:

Section I. To promote and enhance increasing populations of the wild sheep within Washington state and North America.

Section II. To inform and educate people concerning wild sheep and their habitat, health, population, and general welfare.

Section III. To promote the professional management of wild sheep in order to augment the number and size of the herds, by such means as hunting as a legitimate tool of conservation and game management, to achieve optimum populations of wild sheep, and to safeguard against the decline or extinction of wild sheep.

Section IV. To sponsor social events for the purpose of raising monies to benefit, directly or indirectly, wild sheep by such means as funding research projects, education, emergency relief, the transfer of animals to new locations, inoculations or other medical assistance and supplemental training of professional wildlife specialists working with wild sheep, or any combination thereof, and using the funds derived there from for enhancement of wild sheep, while at the same time keeping all relevant administrative costs at a minimum.
