Hells Canyon Collaring Project
The Washington FNAWS Chapter donated $6600 to assist
in the Hells Canyon Collaring Project. A helicopter crew from Wyoming captured ten
bighorns in Black Butte (7 ewes
and 3 rams), thirteen in Asotin Creek
(8 ewes and 5 rams), and eight in Wenaha
(4 ewes and 4 rams). The project was completed March 8 & 9, 2003. This
cooperative project included representatives from the WDFW, ODFW, IDF&G, WAFNAWS, and
landowners.
